At the heart of our program lies a commitment to collaboration, reflecting our dedication to nurturing the human elements of education and mental health. We believe that by working together, we can create environments where students thrive, both emotionally and academically.
One of our most valued partners on this journey has been the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). DYCD plays a crucial role in empowering New Yorkers by investing in community-based organizations and programs that alleviate poverty and create opportunities for growth. Their support of youth and families through high-quality development programs has been instrumental in helping us secure discretionary and council-funded grants, enabling us to expand our reach and impact.
Our collaborative efforts also extend to district-level city council members who represent the schools we work with. Additionally, we are in active discussions with the various Borough President’s team, exploring ways to bring our program to a wider audience. Beyond local government, we are forging partnerships with academics to raise awareness about the importance of our work. These collaborations are essential as they align with our mission to drive meaningful systemic change in education.
We understand that transforming the entire education system is a long-term goal, but that doesn’t mean we need to wait for a complete overhaul to make a difference. Our program is a vital piece of a larger puzzle. Through the grant funding we’ve secured, we aim to deepen our understanding of what students truly need by placing their humanity at the center of the learning process. Through collaboration and a focus on the human aspects of learning, we are helping to shape a brighter future for all.
