Alex is a Teacher Trainer based in New York City. Alex is a long-time champion for social-emotional learning in youth development settings, beginning his journey in programs in various YMCAs, and more recently as a public-school teacher in the NYC Dept. Of Education. He joined Open Future Institute to advocate for curriculum that promotes student agency, belonging and purpose, essential components for student empowerment and their educational success. He earned a masters degree in Teaching from the Relay Graduate School for Education and a bachelors degree in Physiology from the University of Liverpool.
