Evan Sheinberg
Evan is a Portfolio Manager for Point 72 Asset Management, a hedge fund with headquarters in Stamford, CT, and New York City. He has been a leader and senior member of the macro group at Point 72 and SAC Capital since joining the fund in 2003. Prior to that, Evan served as Managing Director for Lehman Brothers, where he was responsible for overseeing the firm’s government bond business within the fixed income trading division. He also started and managed a proprietary cross asset trading business while at Lehman.
Evan has always been interested in philanthropic ventures that revolve around helping students reach their potential, and providing opportunities for children to thrive both inside and outside of the classroom. Currently, he is on the Board of Trustees of St. David’s School in New York City, and is Chairman of the Investment Committee for the school. He has been actively involved with several organizations that provide after school athletic programs for public school students in NY and nationally: CityLax, where he was honored into their Hall of Fame in 2018, and Up2Us Sports.
Evan received a BA in Political Science from Amherst College and an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business. He lives in New York City with his wife Abby, and has three boys, two of whom recently graduated from Dartmouth and Marist College, and one who is a sophomore at Amherst.
